Young Adults

Young Adults meet after work in the ChaplaincyPlus office once a month or so. The aim is to get to know one another better and to encourage both recent graduates and those who have been in the workplace a few years to be able to successfully integrate their Christian faith into working life. The group meets alternately for work related bible study and socially.

Not sure if you qualify as a Young Adult? As a rough estimate the upper age limit is early 30s which is about the same as for most professional associations, but who’s counting!

a young person working in a firm of surveyors says

''I have been encouraged by ChaplaincyPlus to see my workplace as a place where God will use me and through ChaplaincyPlus have met with other like minded Christians in my office.

God has been opening up opportunities for me over the last couple of months, which is really exciting! It started when He confirmed to me I was called to my place of work for ‘such a time as this’ and that He had a purpose and plan for me and it wasn’t ‘just a job’. So I diligently prayed that God would act in the lives of those I worked with and that He would help me see my workplace as my mission field where I could be a disciple of Christ. In no time at all I was having conversations with people who weren’t Christians about my relationship with Jesus without even trying or having to force it. People just wanted to know about the God I believed in. They came from the unlikeliest of people at the most interesting times.

This has been amazing – Three of them came to Carols for the Business Community and I’m even having prayer requests now! I believe that in God’s time there will be salvation.''
